Have you been missing being able to compost your organic scraps? Are you looking for a place to drop off your food waste? JH-SCRAPS is reopening this Saturday! Regular hours of operation are on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., rain or shine (barring extreme weather conditions).
Take advantage of the 34th Avenue Pedestrian Plaza or walk along 35th Avenue to 69th Street and turn south. The Composting Center is just off the corner of 35th Avenue on 69th Street, along and below the rail tracks. SCRAPS volunteers will be maintaining social distance and there will be a bin set up outside the gate to minimize contact.
